Dr. Miguel López Aguirre Earns His PhD Cum Laude! 🎓🎉

On January 30, 2025, at the Complutense University of Madrid (UCM), Miguel López Aguirre successfully defended his PhD thesis and officially became Dr. López Aguirre, graduating Cum Laude!

His thesis, "Topography of Nigrostriatal Degeneration in Parkinson’s Disease Using Multimodal Imaging," researched into the progression of Parkinson’s disease using cutting-edge neuroimaging techniques. Combining molecular imaging (FDOPA PET) and MRI biomarkers (FW-DTI, R2, T1w/T2w),* his work provides strong insights into how neurodegeneration spreads in the nigrostriatal pathway.
